NSSEC Entrepreneurial Simulation Competition

With 4 successful editions of the Trinidad and Tobago National Secondary School Entrepreneurship competition, we would like to make it regional. We use a simulation software and use it in a competitive formulation where secondary school students compete against each other in building their own business. They create their own businesses and compete each week in submitting decisions that affect their performance, there is a balance scorecard and each week rankings of the companies are released. They learn valuable business skills while having fun and competing with each other in a real-world simulated environment. The teams consist of 5 students and each is assigned a role (CEO, marketing, HR etc.) the group strategizes and uses the information provided in the game to make decisions. These decisions are pitted against their competitors decisions to determine the results for the week. We have seen how this program and the experience has impacted the lives and want to share it regionally.
